With the Tamiya Quirkhopper, Tamiya introduces its second model built on the robust GF-02 4WD chassis . While the Squash Van (item no. 58725) is retro-inspired, the Quirkhopper follows a completely different concept: a sleek, insect-like buggy body that deliberately stands out. The name says it all – "Quirk" represents something unique, unexpected, and unconventional .

The GF-02 chassis with geared all-wheel drive is designed for high durability, driving fun, and easy maintenance . Large 123 mm off-road tires (identical to the Squash Van) provide powerful acceleration, good traction, and stable handling, even on loose surfaces. This makes the Quirkhopper perfect for bashing, recreational off-roading, and custom builds .

The lightweight 0.7 mm polycarbonate body comes unpainted and can be customized to your liking. Details such as twin headlights , a rear wing with large air intakes , and special decals accentuate the futuristic look. A 540-type motor and electronic speed controller are already included in the kit – ideal for beginners as well as experienced drivers looking for an unusual off-road project.
