The OS SPEED R21GT is a high-performance nitro engine specifically developed for the 1:8 GT On-Road Touring class and designed with top international events like the IFMAR World Championship in mind. The GT class is known for realistic racing scenarios with powerful, heavy vehicles – and the R21GT was optimized precisely for this.

Compared to its predecessor, the OS SPEED 21XZ-GT, the R21GT offers significantly improved performance across the entire rev range . The crankcase is based on the proven R2101 design , which has already proven itself many times over in classic on-road racing and ensures stability and optimal cooling.

The cylinder and piston feature an IFMAR-compliant port layout with 5 transfer ports and 3 exhaust ports , resulting in very smooth power delivery and high efficiency. The newly developed crankshaft has a DLC coating and precisely tuned counterweights. It is press-fitted and specifically designed for quick maintenance and reliable performance in racing conditions.

Another highlight is the redesigned cooling head , which has been specifically tailored to the thermal requirements of GT touring races and ensures stable temperatures even during long runs.

The newly developed 22E (B) GT carburetor with dual-needle adjustment is used for fuel supply. It impresses with excellent pickup characteristics , particularly important when accelerating out of corners – a key factor in the GT class. The included 7 mm restrictor fully complies with IFMAR regulations .

The engine is supplied as a matched combo set including T2060SC resonance tube , creating a perfectly matched overall package for the ambitious GT racer.
